In order to keep safe online, it is important to be aware of the latest security threats and fraudulent activity.
Established brands and regulated firms such as iAM Capital Group plc/ iAM Invest Ltd can be targeted by fraudsters in order to add the appearance of legitimacy to their crimes. This can take many forms but in the past we have seen examples of fraudsters impersonating representatives of the company, or claiming to be affiliated with iAM Invest Ltd, the group’s regulated entity, using its FCA reference number to appear legitimate. Bad actors may also use falsified or copied material (documentation, email addresses, websites etc.) that uses the branding and intellectual property of the company as a tool for such impersonation.
